Summary

The Cosmic Catastrophe game does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. This policy exists to satisfy Google Play and Apple App Store submission requirements. The only personal data we collect is what you choose to send when you sign up for the internal playtest on our website (see "Playtest sign-up" below).

Data the game collects

None. The game does not collect:

Playtest sign-up (website)

If you sign up for the internal playtest at cosmic-catastrophe.catsylvania.com, we collect the name and email address you enter, the platform you will play on, how much you play deckbuilders, and an optional note. We use it only to invite you to the playtest (for example, adding you to the itch.io page or Google Play internal testing) and to share playtest news. It is stored in a Google Form and its linked Google Sheet, which only the developer can open. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else. To have your sign-up deleted, email [email protected]. The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. The website does not use cookies or analytics.

Third-party services

Cosmic Catastrophe does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social login SDKs. No data is shared with third parties.

The game may optionally use platform services provided by Apple (Game Center) or Google (Play Games) for leaderboards and achievements in future releases. If that feature is enabled, those platforms govern their own data practices under their respective privacy policies. We will update this document at that time.

Game engine (Unity)

Cosmic Catastrophe is built with the Unity engine (Unity Technologies, Inc.). The Unity Analytics module is present in the project's package manifest but has not been enabled or initialised — no gameplay events, session data, or device identifiers are sent to Unity or to us. Unity Cloud Diagnostics (crash reporting) and Unity Gaming Services are not integrated.

For information about what Unity Technologies itself collects at an engine or platform level, see the Unity Technologies Privacy Policy.

Saved game data

Run progress and settings are saved locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Children

Cosmic Catastrophe is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there is nothing special to disclose under COPPA or similar laws.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that involve data collection, this policy will be updated before the feature ships and the date above will be revised.
